Hangar Space Available

Located at the airport is a 14,400 square foot conventional hangar.  This hangar has three offices, two restrooms and a shower facility.  To request more information on this and other hangars available at Mid-State Airport, please contact the Airport Authority at (814) 342-2280.

Utilities and Airside Facilities

Mid-State Regional Airport is connected to Rush Twp municipal sanitary sewer lines.  A private well on the airport property provides water for all airport facilities, including the Tarps Direct Inc. building.  Three-phase electrical lines are available at the airport.  The majority of buildings are heated with propane with the exception of the terminal, which is oil heated and the large conventional hangar, which has electric heating.  Natural gas service is not currently available at the airport.

The Airside facilities at the Mid-State Regional Airport consists of two runways and four connector taxiways.  Runway 16/34 is the primary runway, and has dimensions of 5,711 feet long and 100 feet wide, with precision instrument markings.  Runway 06/24 is the crosswind runway, and has dimensions of 5,006 feet long and 100 feet wide, with non-precision instrument markings.  Both runways are asphalt and the overall pavement conditions on each runway is fair to good.

There are five taxiways at the airport: A, B, C, D and E.  Taxiway A is 69 feet wide and connects the transient apron to Runway 16/34.  Taxiway B is 96 feet wide and connects the transient apron to Runway 06/24.  Taxiway C is 50 feet in width, and connects the based aircraft apron to Runway End 24.  Taxiways D and E provide access to the east side of the Runway 16/34.  Taxiway D is 50 feet wide, and connects the large conventional hangar to Runway 16/34.  Taxiway E is also 50 feet wide, and connects the 5-unit T-hangar to Runway 16/34.  The last 240 feet of Taxiway E that connects to Runway 16/34 is turf.
